Guidelines for Cleaning Tables

Guidelines for Cleaning Tables

Tables undergo a lot of wear and tear on a regular basis because of a large number of dishes and other items that are placed down and frequently dragged across the table's surface. Kitchen tables are especially susceptible to this and they can get stained or dirty very quickly. Cleaning tables should be done carefully since many of them are wood and too much water can result in table damage. A table can be cleaned quickly with the right materials. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Remove any place settings or decorations from the table so it is completely cleared. This makes cleaning quicker and easier.

    2

Dust the table with a microfiber towel to remove any loose debris from the surface.

    3

Fill a spray bottle with 75-percent warm water and 25-percent white vinegar. White vinegar is an effective cleaning agent that can remove dirt, grease and other debris from a wide variety of table surfaces such as wood, marble and plastic. The water helps prevent the acidity of the vinegar from damaging the surface of the table.

    4

Spritz the table with the vinegar and water solution. The spray bottle is useful since it allows the distribution of the liquid without getting the table too wet. This is especially important for wood since excessive water could damage wood over time.

    5

Wipe the vinegar solution off of the table with the microfiber towel, which won't scratch the table and will trap dirt and debris inside of the cloth while simultaneously drying the table.
