How to Buy a Foosball Table

Buying a foosball table is no small purchase. If you're considering a large scale model for recreation you need to keep several things in mind. Size, placement, transport and playability are all important factors in purchasing a foosball table.

Instructions

    1

Make sure you have the space before you buy the foosball table. A standard foosball table is large, so you'll need about 36 square feet of floor space and an additional 2 to 3 feet surrounding the table for the players. If you don't have the space, opt for the smaller tabletop version of foosball.

    2

Determine what you want in a foosball table. If there are certain players you'd like to see, or some specialty wood you'd like it made out of you might need to get a custom-made foosball table. A custom foosball table is expensive so keep your options open and reasonable.

    3

Set a budget. Expect a new table to run you about 100 dollars on the low end, and about 500 or more for an oak or custom made foosball table.

    4

Shop around. Shopping at comparison sites like nextag.com gives you consumer reviews so you can make an educated purchase and know what you're getting for the money.

    5

Consider buying used. A used foosball table still may have many years of playability left in it. Look on eBay for many great options or check your local classified section on craigslist.org to buy a foosball table.
