How to Make Your Own Table Number Cards

How to Make Your Own Table Number Cards

If you plan on holding a large dining event and will be in charge of place settings and arranging the tables, you will likely want to include table numbers. Even if you choose not to assign each seat to a particular person, you may want to organize your guests by putting distinct groups together: for example, "Claire's friends," "the kids' table," or "the baseball team." Numbering each table with a card will leave you the option of designating seating areas.

Instructions

    1

Cut out a long rectangle from thick paper such as cardstock or tag board, using a ruler to make straight edges. Make the longest sides twice the length of how long you want your finished card to be. Use this first cut-out as a template to make as many additional cards as you require.

    2

Fold each card in half so the shortest sides touch. Crease along your fold to secure.

    3

Write a number on each folded card with a permanent marker, starting with "1" and increasing until you have filled out all of the cards. Write on one side of the card with the number positioned in the center and oriented so the fold is on top.

    4

Place one card on each table, letting the cards stand upright like tents.
