Bed frames are typically constructed out of metal, in which sits a mattress on top of a box spring. If you do not want to use a metal frame or box spring, a pedestal platform bed can be built. This type of bed is typically a box shape, made from wood, and of various sizes, such as 54 inches wide by 80 inches long. You can build a pedestal platform bed by first measuring the dimensions of the room to make sure it will fit. Does this Spark an idea?
